PODS​
Pods (Grades 1-7, K and 7/8)​
Priority enrollment goes to families who want to attend both days
The students will learn/reinforce grammar, spelling, vocabulary and writing, will read novels and become introduced to and proficient in math.

Mon/Wed Pods $265 month 1 day / $500 month 2 days
$45 materials fee to teacher for the 14 week semester, per child enrolled

Tuesday and Thursday English Language Arts (both days):
Grammar and Writing: By studying poetry, quality literature excerpts, short stories, and the Paragraph Town textbook, students will enhance their grammar, sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, and writing skills through copy work and dictation. They will maintain a notebook for copy work, dictations, and writing.
Arts and Literature Study: The students will practice oral narration and improve their reading skills by reading a book together in class and studying art prints from well-known artists. They will maintain a notebook where they can recreate the artwork they observe and record quotes from the literature selection.
Tuesday Social Studies
Geography: Students will maintain a notebook for mapping different regions using Mapping the World with Art. They will learn geographical terms, tools and practice map study to remember countries and major landmarks in every continent. Along the way they will explore different cultures or historical figures to be highlighted in their notebook.
Thursday Science
Life, Physical and Earth Science will be explored. Each will be the focus of a quarter. Life science will cover cells, organisms, and ecosystems. Physical science will emphasize energy, motion, forces and basics of the periodic table. Earth Science will touch on structure/plate tectonics, climate, weather, and solar system. Students will maintain a science notebook for drawings or lab/project write ups.

Kindergarten Pod $250 month
$35 materials fee per semester to be paid to the instructor on the first class
The children will learn all the kindergarten greatness academically, socially and creatively. We will explore letters, numbers, reading, introduction to science and history, movement, music, outside time, snacks, structure and following directions.

ELECTIVES & ENRICHMENT ​
All electives are $95 per month (unless otherwise noted.) Material fees noted and due to teacher the week before classes begin.

Cherry Tree STEAM Pod (ages 5-12) ​ Mondays and Wednesdays 12:30-3:30 $220 1 day month / $400 2 days a month
$25 material fee paid to teacher at the beginning of the session. Cherry Tree STEAM Pod is a teacher facilitated, student-centered experience where learners explore areas of interest while socializing in a safe environment. The centers / lessons will range in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, and will include engaging activities in pods like games/challenges, cooking, building, painting, physical activities, and more.

Math Foundations Pre Algebra
Math foundations strengthens and reinforces more advanced basic math to prepare the students to move forward into pre-algebra. Learn the basics of pre-algebra, a branch of mathematics that prepares students for algebra 1 and 2. They will learn variables, fractions, decimals, mixed numbers and more.
Elementary Math Fundamentals
Learn and reinforce basics like addition and subtraction including multiple digits. Move on to multiplication and division to encourage the students to expand their math skills.

Social Studies and Cultural Exploration
$25 material fee paid to teacher at the beginning of the session. Come learn about the cultures and ancestories of the world. We will learn about customs, traditions and heritages. We will learn through storytelling, dance, cooking and exploraions. Don't miss this world travel event.
Interesting Events and Haunted History
We all know the basic history of the United States; this class will explore events that may be less in the forefront but still helped shaped our country. Haunted history will explore the many “haunted” places in America and the events and legends surrounding them.
Life Skills for Tweens and Teens
Learn what life skills are, why they are important, and how to develop them. Explore the basic life skills such as self-awareness, critical thinking, creative thinking, decision making, problem solving, effective communication, interpersonal relationships, empathy, coping with stress, and coping with emotion, sleep, a good handshake, interview skills and more!
Drama/Theater Club
Learn acting skills, improv, scene/script study and the goings on of theater performances including production and movement. There will be a final performance for families at the end of the session.
Creative Writing for Kids
Students will receive writing prompts and encouragement to explore their writing/story ideas while providing them with the tools to organize and communicate clearly.

Cooking $100/month
$25 materials fee per semester due to instructor on the first day of class.
The title says it all! We will make a variety of delicious dishes, savory and sweet, learning measurement, seasoning, food safety and more. The kids will be able to eat everything that they cook!​​

Astronomy
$15 materials fee per semester to be paid to instructor on the first day of class
Reach for the skies as we look at our own planet and beyond to understand our universe and all the activity that occurs within it. We will take an in depth look at planets, galaxies, nebulae, stars, black holes and so much more! Each lesson is accompanied with an engaging hands on experiment and supporting materials to bring home. Lab Fee Required.
Book Club
Together we will read and analyze content from a chosen book, and discuss how it relates to our lives today. We will expand our vocabulary and analytical thinking as we make our way through the book. Relevant handouts and supporting materials will be provided for extra depth of understanding. Emphasis on reading aloud, group discussion and collaborative brainstorming to encourage out of the box thinking and problem solving.

Gardening & Botanical Explorations
$10 materials fee per semester to be paid to instructor on the first day of class
Get outside and into the garden to learn about our amazing photosynthesized friends and all their wonderful secrets and gifts. We will plant and grow both wildflowers and vegetables and learn the important roles they play in life on Earth. Garden related arts and crafts projects will be created. Some of the seeds and plants will be gifted to you to bring home and enjoy for years to come. Lab Fee Required.

Myths & Legends I
$10 materials fee per semester to be paid to instructor on the first day of class
Delve into ancient stories and beliefs from all regions of our planet. We will distinguish the differences between myth, legend, fairy tale and fable. We will explore these stories with hands on, out of the box projects and crafts.
Elementary Science with Experiments
$15 materials fee per semester to be paid to instructor on the first day of class
Dive into the fun and messy world of science. We will learn about the scientific method while engaging in hands-on lessons covering earth, physical and life sciences.

Animal Biology with Lab(s) $100 / month
$25 materials fee per semester to be paid to instructor on the first day of class
​In this engaging biology class, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of anatomy through the dissection of a squid and a worm during the first session. Participants will learn about the unique structures and of these organisms, gaining hands-on experience that enhances their understanding of biological concepts. This interactive experience is designed to foster curiosity and deepen knowledge of life sciences.

Science with Lab for grades 5-7 $100 / month
$25 materials fee per semester to be paid to instructor on the first day of class​
Students will explore states of matter, ecosystems, forces and energy, the human body, and aspects of the scientific method. Students will dissect a pig heart during the first session.
